    1. This was a really fascinating read and thoroughly researched. The illegalities of the Real Book has intrigued me since I got my first copy from a blind guy with a dog standing outside the Dunkin Donuts across from Berklee the the early 80's. Steve Swallow's contributions to this book are priceless. I wish there was more mention of the other jazz fake books that popped up around the same time like the Spaces series or Jazz LTD. My first copy of the Real Book was a 9th edition which contained shee [...]
