    1. To start, I should probably declare that this is not my usual genre, but having recently read and enjoyed some of the author's other work I thought I would give it a go. And a pleasant little diversion it was - short but satisfying. The characters and scene setting were efficiently done (necessary in a short tale), the baddies were satisfyingly BAD and there was excitement enough to keep me hooked to the end. Thank you Mel, you may have done enough to persuade me to read a romance novel every no [...]

    2. I believe this is an aptly named Short Story.Cass left her village in search of romance and adventure. When she returned home, she was a little wiser about real life. She was also guilt-ridden and only wanted to spend time with her parents. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on your point of view, her parents had other ideas - mainly getting Cass back with her former boyfriend. Only problem is - he is now engaged to someone else. Will things work out?I am impressed by how Ms. Comley packed a [...]

    3. Once again, Mel Comley's ability to set a scene shines forth. A bit of mystery, a bit of romance, great dialogue and a deeply satisfying ending. Get a cup of tea and settle in for some 'me' time with this delightful short story.

    4. A bit of romance. A bit of mystery. A short story. Mel, you're an excellent writer! Why then the 3 stars? I could smell it coming - the outcome. No suspense there. Still, Mel, you've got it!***SPOILER BELOW***handcuffed before guilt was established?

    5. It didn't take me long to read this short story. What can I say; Mel Comley just has an amazingly good and readable writing style.

    6. I've read Mel Comley's other books and this didn't disappoint. A thrilling short story with everything you need - romance, suspense, crime. Another great read!

    7. I did enjoy this romantic short story. The characters were likeable and the baddies were suitably over-the-top. This was a good piece of escapsim with a dash of melodrama and very enjoyable.

    8. This is the first book I read by Mel Comley. It is the first short fast pace book I read. I enjoyed the storyline but I wish it had more background information on the main characters. I think the secondary characters made the story likeable because the main characters were kind of boring. It was free when I purchased it, but I think the book is likeable enough to pay 99 cents for. I would read other books by this author.
