    1. I'm not really sure how to describe this book. It was just dark. Like not happy at all until the end. Very depressing, but at the same time it was good. Not great. I cannot wrap my head around a true description. I think that when I was reading this book, I was waiting for the happy & the light to shine through, but it didn't. This greedy bad Lord or whatever he is, wants land. His neighbor Evelyn just lost her father. Her brother is off fighting the Sarecens (Syrians) in some Holy War in Je [...]

    2. The villain had no development on backstory and was boring in his predictable cruelty. The language and dialogue, supposed to be medieval, was awkward, stilted and inconsistent. I hated how the name Evelyn got shortened to Evie. The kindle edition was furthermore riddled with typos.

    3. I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Holt's style of writing and this story made a fan of me. I look forward to reading more of her books. The Crimson Castle is a romantic saga set in one of my favorite eras, Medieval times; a story of anguish, angst, betrayal, forgiveness, redemption and love. Ms. Holt does a wonderful job painting a picture of beautiful Lady Evelyn, her land, Beldersert, as well as the dark Sir Gabriel and sinister Lord Tibald. From the beginning, I was with Evelyn in her loathing of Sir [...]

    4. A young lady is left alone to support and defend her castle, her people, her honor, her life against the horrible feudal lord of the area. Add to all these the lord's programmed soldier to act alike, who now has the honors to take young Evelyn to his master's Crimson Castle to be subdued to his master, who goes by the name Tibald. But problems arise when this mediocre soldier, Gabriel, starts melting his armor all for the sake of the lady's eyes. "The rest of the story on screen". The reading is [...]

    5. Did like it. Good story. Fast & easy read. Liked the chemistry between Gabriel & Evelyn. The good were good the bad were good at being bad.Thought the end rush and the secondary characters could of been a bit more developed.

    6. This was good, but not particularly memorable for me. It's a short book, only about 150 pages, and I think if it had been developed a little more fully that would have helped. As it was I never became overly invested in either of the main characters - whose name I've already forgotten :/

    7. Enjoyable romantic story of good vs bad.Enjoyed the characters and author moved storyline fairly quickly. Enjoyed

    8. Free on when I got it. I liked this, but didn't love it. Everything was fine, but nothing exciting. I've read books that were somewhat similar that kept me more involved.

    9. Excellent novella, I really loved the interaction between Gabriel and Evelyn, and Tibold was the perfect villain. To tell you the truth it had me chewing my nails.
