    1. Sixteen year old Cameron is trapped in France after a school trip when all flights back home to the US are grounded because of the volcanic ash cloud above Iceland. He meets a girl called Framboise and they find themselves trapped in Paris after witnessing a murder on the Seine. Fast paced and exciting, the story is suspenseful until the last page. I enjoyed meeting Cameron and Framboise, who have very different characters but must pull together to survive their adventure. The author's knowledge [...]

    2. My copy of Trapped in Paris was sent to me by the Author through First Reads giveaway. I was not obligated to write a positive review. This is my full and honest opinion.Cover Blurb: Yes or No? I like the old weathered look of it, and of course the Eiffel Tower, because it indicates that the book will more than likely have to do with Paris. ;-) It's a simplistic cover, but I like it.Characters: I didn't dislike Cameron or Framboise; they were both good kids. Cameron was polite and nice, and Fra [...]

    3. 4.5 stars. Trapped in Paris is an adventure story set in France. It mixes both intrigue and romance within its plot. There is a real authenticity to this story because of Holingue's familiarity with the location and culture. I enjoyed how she sprinkled in authentic French phrases throughout the novel. Additionally, I'm glad that Holingue didn't give us an artificial view of the tourist France but took us into the darker places near Paris. I did take off half a star because I felt that the beginn [...]

    4. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.I know this book was written for a much younger audience but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. I like the characters and their chemistry seemed to be just right. I guess that means that the relationships in the book weren't forced. The main characters had the right amount of tension between them that you could see how it was going to work out but you could also see that it wasn't going to be easy. Cameron was a young man who has [...]

    5. I had a fine adventure reading the YA book "Trapped in Paris." After a volcano eruption in Iceland interrupts all air traffic (remember that volcano?) two teenagers-Cameron, an American and Framboise, a French teen-find themselves trapped in a Paris airport. They leave the airport and witness a murder on the River Seine. When they are kidnapped, they find themselves in a dangerous, four-day adventure through the Parisian suburbs. They encounter human trafficking, menacing characters, and unscrup [...]

    6. Thank you to and author Evelyne Holingue for sending me a copy of this new book! Sixteen year old Cameron traveled to Paris with his high school French Club, and chose to stay on a bit longer before returning home. Now he finds himself stranded at the Paris airport – a volcanic eruption in Iceland has scattered ash over the skies and all flights have been indefinitely suspended. While awaiting the resumption of air travel, Cameron meets another traveler—Framboise. She is stranded too. On a [...]

    7. Let me begin by saying that I won this book here. I didn't realize it was geared to young teens until after it arrived. That being said, I felt obligated to read it and write a review.I must say, that I rather enjoyed the book. While it was definately written at a more juvenile level than I would normally read, I found it to be interesting. The Characters are enjoyable and the storyline, albeit a bit over the top, is exciting enough to hold your attention and keep you rooting for the Cameron and [...]

    8. This book made me want to go to Paris. I haven't been there yet (I have no idea why not) and now I can't wait to go. It's a fast-paced read with several quirks that I hadn't expected (I'd almost forgotten about the volcano that stalled airplanes for so long) and other things I won't go into because I don't want to include spoilers. Overall, Holingue did a fantastic job writing this breakout novel. I enjoyed the read, the characters, and the development. There's a definite, hormonal teenage boy, [...]

    9. This was a FREE book sent from the author. Cameron, a French student, was at the airport ready to come home to the states when all air treaffic was halted due to a volcano eruption. He met a young girl and they set out on the streets of Paris only to witness a crime taking place and then they were kidnapped. What seemed like weeks but were only days had passed before things came to a head.Their courage, bravery and perseverence won out in the end. A great friendship will never be forgotten. What [...]

    10. Wonderful story!I had a great time reading this story, it's quite an exciting adventure in Paris! De plus, j'ai appris quelques mots "familiers" en français ! Chouette ! I think this would be a great read for a young person or even an older person like me who is learning French. Mme. Holingue has created some great characters that I want to know more about. She has also wrapped up a lot of interesting cultural points and some serious societal concerns into her story which should pave the way fo [...]

    11. While this book is technically geared toward a YA audience, I ended up enjoying it. It's really a bit more of 3 or 3.5 stars but I bumped up my rating for two reasons: 1. It takes place in Paris and there a nice bits of French dialogue AND 2. It reminded me of the movie Taken. Pretty good characters, nice settings and some good action make this book worth a read. I also liked the fact that human smuggling was brought up in this book which will hopefully get the target audience thinking. *I won t [...]
