    1. 3.20 starsCole is at the top of his game, respected and envied by most, the White House journalist who's thoroughness and attention to detail is unmatched. He works long hours, very committed and the reporting of the news has to be perfect. It's work, home, play with Riley the dog, workout, sleep and food are squeezed in somewhere. Sarah his producer sets out to push, cajole and browbeat to get him some sexual relief, and takes it upon herself to organise weekly blind dates. The snark between th [...]

    2. 4 HeartsReview written for MM Good Book Reviewsmmgoodbookreviews.wordpress/Cole is at the top of his game as the chief White House correspondent for his network, but even he admits that maybe he needs more to go home to than his dog Riley, his producer hires a matchmaker to find him Mr. Right but it doesn’t go quite as planned. When Cole gets home early from work to get ready for his first date he finally meets his dog walker of four years Marco, who he finds incredible attractive, but his luc [...]

    3. Not a bad read. It did feel rushed at times, and at times it felt like the author just wanted to get the pages full. There was a definite lack of interaction between the MC and his love interest, so it didn't really read as a romance. The point where they get together was vague, and almost felt like a non-issue. There was more focus on the MC's career than on the relationship.

    6. I have loved the first two books I read by Michael Murphy Little Squirrels Can Climb Tall Trees being the first and Book Fair being the second. This one did not live up to those two for me. The romance was at the very end and that annoyed me. I like to actually feel the romance in a book.Cole and Marco had a "friendship" during the book. It started off as easy and Cole was attracted to Marco, but he never acted on it because Marco wasn't gay. You could feel the fact he wanted him and I guessed r [...]

    7. Breaking News was a sweet story about a career driven man who suddenly realizes he has the career he wants and no one to share it with except his dog, Rileyor so he thinks, until he meets Marco the guy, who has been walking Riley for years and yet they've never met before? And Cole's sure that Marco's straight, besides between the long hours he puts in doing research & reporting the news on Capital Hill, all the blind dates he keeps getting sent on, travelling as part of the president's pres [...]

    8. Sweet story of hard driven White House reporter Cole, who is deeply closeted. Cole is 32 years old and has only told a a few that he's gay.His producer Sarah,is one that he has confinded in and in doing so, the older woman sets out to get Cole laid.Cole is drop dead gorgeous and physically fit and could do this himself if he weren't so paranoid. In an attempt to get Cole laid the producer goes to a available matchmaker who garners the services for gay men who make the big bucks but also want dis [...]

    9. Ok, let me start off by saying I liked this book a great deal. I waited a few days to review it so I could let the book settle so to speak. I agree with what other people are saying. If you want a true romance with the focus on the couples relationship and hot sex scenes this is not for you. This is more about one particular character than a couple. However, Cole is a great character. He has made compromises in his life to pursue his career. He is smart, funny and above all likeable. He comes to [...]

    11. The writing style is light and witty, it’s also funny and amusing, many a time I laughed or smiled as I read along, especially when Riley was involved, I loved how integral he was to the story, not just as a dog, but written as a third person. I also really liked the relationship between Cole and Sarah, his producer, it was just like brother and sister, with the snarkiness that comes with close siblings, the way they talked back at each other, and I found the glimpses we got into how the US po [...]

    12. This story started out with awesome potential but then dropped off and became drawn out and uninteresting. I enjoyed the connection between Cole and his boss; they were funny and the blind dates he went in were also on the amusing side. It didn't take much to realise who he was going to end up with but it was too chatty and too drawn out. I kept thinking (hasn't he suffered enough?). I didn't enjoy the connection between Marco and Cole because it had no passion, after all the waiting I was expec [...]

    13. 3.5 starsAs much as I enjoyed this book, I found the majority of the storyline was drawn out with a lot of repetition. Multiple Thursday 'blind dates' and short interactions with the person who obviously would become his love interest. Yet the final section of the book came across too hurried, as though the author had done a word count and realised he had so much more to say, but not a lot of time to fit it all in.

    14. Una delusione Peccato perché l'inizio sembrava promettente! Ad un certo punto ho iniziato a saltare tantissime pagine, troppo noiose u.u
