    1. Sophie Kintock is my kinda girl. She's funny. Clever. Quick on the uptake. And just a little bit devious. Some girls will do almost anything to keep a man, but Sophie takes extreme measures when her boyfriend of 6 years suddenly leaves. * She breaks into the laundry room of Doug's apartment building and steals half of his socks, leaving no matching pairs. That way he'll realize how much he misses her and the way she used to do his laundry.* She randomly moves his car to different parking spaces. [...]

    2. I loved this book. It is laugh out loud funny. Even though it is a bit predictable, the characters are brilliant. Men might find the idea of a ex-girlfriend doing everything in her power to get her ex back a little like fatal attraction, but most women would understand the idea of your life getting turned upside down and doing everything in your power to correct it, even if that means pretending to be psychic to chase off your ex's new girlfriend and stealing his socks out of the laundry. Fantas [...]

    4. This book opens with Sophie sneaking into her ex-boyfriend’s new apartment building’s laundry room. He dumped her 3 weeks ago and her Mensa worthy plan to get him back includes stealing one half of each pair of socks he has in the dryer. Her other brilliant maneuver was to move his car from one parking space to another in his work garage using the spare key he left behind in their shared home when he moved out. She thinks he will realize he is losing his mind without her in his life and come [...]

    5. When Sophie's boyfriend breaks up with her, she doesn't take it well. (Understatement of the year.) She plays small pranks (using a spare set of keys to move his car from one parking spot to another; breaking into his apartment building to go down to the laundry room and steal his socks) and then gets the best idea EVER. She'll pretend to be psychic and tell his new girlfriend to back off because he really belongs with his last girlfriend.(Did I mention that this isn't YA and Sophie is a grownup [...]

    6. Well, that was a let down. I definitely expected more than a nonsensical, frustration-filled story from Eileen Cook. There were times when I thought the story might become better, but it kept hitting the disappointing-counter again and again. Unfortunately, I also didn't find much humour to it.

    7. Definitely a light read. Predictable most times (the irony of the title)- but the book always stays true to being girly. I laughed and chuckled my way through every chapter- which makes it worth telling other girls/women to read it for the mere giggle. Basically the book is about a young woman desperate for her past relationship- who poses as a psychic to fake out her ex's new girlfriend. Of course she finds her own path by the end of the novel. Reading that summary might make you think it is a [...]

    8. Full disclosure, I didn't finish this book. I couldn't bring myself to it. I blame . I've discovered a flaw in their reviews, most of them are too "fan girl". You look up a book and see these glowing reviews with GIFS and the whole shebang and you're thinking "yeah, this is going to be fun!" and then it's not. I've always enjoyed reading "chick lit" if you take it with a much needed grain of salt they can be a quite entertaining way to spend the afternoon and are usually funny (like the first Br [...]

    9. I picked this up after reading "The Education of Hailey Kendrick" which I loved. Still, I'm a bit slow reading this book since I don't really relate to the character, but I like a lot Eileen's writing so I'm gonna keep going :)PS: I am always loosing my socks, maybe I have an ex-boyfriend trying to drive me crazy :))PSS: If your best friend tells you that you are crazy, maybe (just maybe) you should think about it, because she might be not joking at all :))_______________________________________ [...]

    10. I just read the first chapters couldn't get through with the rest. I didn't like the writing style. and I couldn't care less for the heroine.10/22/2011:read it in French.well I still can't muster any kind of connecting feeling to the heroine. She wants her ex back but every time she mention something about him, that only shows what an oaf he is but she still wants him back???and the romance with the other guy? there are barely in contact with each other!

    11. I wouldn't exactly call the PLOT of this book unpredictable, but I did enjoy it quite a bit. The author has a great way of describing things, making me laugh out loud a couple of times, and the story was very cute. I loved that the coincidences that all authors rely on to propel their stories forward didn't feel forced, and all the characters were grounded in reality yet still quite funny. All in all, a fun read.

    12. This book was adorable and funny. I love an author with a sense of humor. I found this author via her blog and I'm very glad that I did. Her heroine was lovable even through her series of missteps in her mission to win back her ex-boyfriend. I really enjoyed this book and only wish it had lasted me longer than the few hours that it did.

    13. Fabulous new author with a fresh, witty voice. A must read for fans of romantic comedy, Jennifer Crusie and women's fiction.

    14. Unpredictable is very predictable, but completely entertaining. I gave it an extra star because it made me laugh so often. Great beach read!

    15. A hilarious book. Really easy and quick read and extremely entertaining. Definitely a must-read for those who've ever had a hard time with a breakup.

    16. This book was just OK. I didn't dislike it, in fact there were many laugh-out-loud moments. I liked the turns of phrases that Cook used, looking at ordinary things in an entertaining way. Plus many of Sophie's escapades were quite funny, such as when she would move Doug's car and steal his socks so he'd see how much he missed her organizational skills. But what bothered me most was the whole premise of the romance. Sophie decides to pretend to be a psychic so she can convince Doug's new girlfrie [...]

    19. Eileen Cook's "Unpredictable" is a bit the opposite of its title, but I have to say that it was a fun, relaxing read when I consider the whole of it, and I took my time reading through much of the story the past few weeks. Sophie Kintock is a character you may either love or love to hate, to the point where you may find yourself scolding her impulsive decisions and lack of knowing just how troublesome a situation she's made for herself (I know I certainly did - she reminds me of a person I know [...]

    20. Let me start off by saying that this was one of the most uniquely written books I’ve come across. The plot is actually really overused and sometimes unrealistic, but the overall writing of the book was simply gorgeous. We have our main character, Sophie, who’s always so funny and wacky. Her experiences through life are so relatable, I can’t help thinking that she has read my mental diary and is somehow repeating everything in it.We have Doug, who’s not really bad or anything… he’s ju [...]

    21. A Zany Story Filled with Psychic Predictions, Love & Horoscopes! One woman who discovers that she will do anything to win back the man she loves and along the way discovers that she’ll stop at nothing to finally achieve true love! This was a fun story about Sophie Kintock (I wondered if this was a nod to another gifted chick lit writer Sophie Kinsella) who’s boyfriend breaks up with her after nearly 6 years and Sophie’s not prepared to take it lying down. In fact, she goes as far as to b [...]
