    1. I read the Cajun series and loved it. I mean, hot heroes, spunky heroines, action plots with steamy chemistry, what’s not to love? But what really made them memorable was the humor, most of it delivered by wacky Tante Lulu. Tante Lulu believes in St. Jude, patron saint of hopeless causes, and in her God-given mission to sort out her family and friends, mostly by marrying them off to a person carefully chosen by her. These two beliefs are not unrelated… Suffice it to say I was ecstatic when I [...]

    2. Copy via Publisher in exchange for an honest review 4 StarsMore reviews on No Bent Spines Full ReviewSo basically I now need to read every one of Sandra Hill’s books ever written. SNOW ON THE BAYOU is the first book I’ve read by her and it will in no way be my last. In this book we see hints of the characters from her previous books and just by their brief descriptions, I need to know their story. SNOW ON THE BAYOU takes place in Louisiana with two lost lovers who promised each other forever [...]

    3. I didn't like this as much as her other SEAL romances. I liked Tante Lulu but I found the constant bickering (not in a healthy fun way) and animosity between the hero and heroine to be irritating after a while. Each knew the other didn't "know" what happened years ago and yet they didn't talk it out, letting it fester while they are screwing each others brains out. It simply made no sense in a "real world" kinda way.And the whole terrorist thing was so anti-climactic. They talked it up and it ju [...]

It's about more than redemption or family or love or death. It's about all of them *grins* and just a little bit more. Snow on the Bayou is the long awaited next book in the series and well worth the wait.Emelie Gaudet was raised by a loving father, the local sheriff and had every opportunity to thrive in life. 5. Review copy courtesy of the publisher via NetGalley.I'll admit - I've never read Sandra Hill before. But I loved the title of this book when I saw it on NetGalley and I had to try it! I have to say, I'm so glad I did!Emelie was a pretty great character. I think I would say that the book was a teeny bit more about the hero but still, I felt Em was pretty fleshed out. She has her own mask shop in the French Quarter and she's really successful. I loved that she was creative and was able to make a l [...]

    6. Navy Seal Justin “Cage” LeBlanc swore that there would be snow on the ground in the bayou before he ever returned, but his mortally ill grandmother has him racing home to face his past and the love of his life in this riveting and fun Tante Lulu Adventure. This steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers shivering in anticipation with drama, romance, suspense, action and lots of Cajun fun. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and bring the story to life a [...]

    7. I have read every single one of Sandra Hill's books starting from The Outlaw Viking and she has never failed to disappoint me. She's on my list of authors to automatically buy because I know she writes some really great stories filled with humor, and wit. 5/5 starsI've been looking forward to possibly reading Justin "Cage" Leblanc's story one day and was thrilled to see this one on the shelves of NetGalley. :) Cage and Emelie were fabulous to get to know, and both were damaged by the past and th [...]

    8. MORE @ melenasreviews.wordpressThree words come to mind on Sandra Hill latest, FUNNY, ROMANTIC and FORGIVENESS. Three words that come to mean so much in Justin and Emelie’s life it’s hard to imagine those words not in them. I loved Justin and his MaMaw Mamie. Here is a woman who doesn’t have enough time but is not afraid at all. Her main goal is to see Justin happy and the past finally come to truth. Now Emelie was a little hard to really like but she has her reasons why. All in all Sandra [...]

    9. Love The Title Of This Book, Loved The Antics Of Tante Lulu, And All In All It Is An Enjoyable Read. This Is A Funny, Romantic Book About A Promised Forever Love Between Emelie And Justin aka "Cage". It Contains Lost Love, Forgiveness, Family, and Second Chances. Snow On The Bayou Has Interesting Characters, A Plot That Grabs Your Attention, And It's Well Written, Including The "Cajun" Dialogue.

    10. I thought the book was good but not quite as funny as her "Cajun" series. Tante Lulu is still a crack up and I love her wacky ways.

    11. Joining the Navy was the second best thing that ever happened to Justin "Cage" LeBlanc, the rebel son of a no-account convict. The first was Emelie Gaudet, the love of his life . . . until he was forced to leave town and swore there would be snow on the bayou before he ever returned. Now, only his mortally ill grandma can bring the injured Navy SEAL back to Terrebone Parrish, where he must face his past-and Emelie, who's even more beautiful than she was all those years ago.Bourbon Street blues s [...]

    12. Loved itLove these Cajun books with Tante Lulu. It was a great read and now I need to pull all the Cajun books that came before and re-read them. Love the inclusion of a recipe at the end.

    13. It was mostly the writing of the book that stopped me from really enjoying it. The way the characters were written (their inner monologues in their POV chapters) just didn't seem to match the age they were given. I found this to particularly be the case with Justin/Cage. I found his voice to be so immature and juvenile and not at all that of a thirty-something battle-hardened (which is what seventeen years in the business suggests) Navy SEAL.Another issue with the writing was the pronunciation r [...]

    14. openbooksociety/article/snBrought to you by OBS reviewer JerjenSnow On The Bayou by Sandra Hill is a great book about love, forgiveness, family ties and second chances. It is the story of Emelie and Justin, two people who lived in New Orleans, who share a past. Can they also share a future?Justin left New Orleans to enlist in the Navy and eventually became a Navy seal. He was run out of town by the sheriff, who accused him of statutory rape. The supposed rape was against the sheriff’s daughter [...]

    15. Hilariously funny, Sandra Hills' latest book is one you won't want to miss! Taken from my review at RomanceJunkies:Growing up on the bayou, Navy SEAL Justin “Cage” LeBlanc, the son of a convict and a druggie, had been the town’s bad boy. For the most part he had been raised by his grandparents. During those rebellious years, he was in love with Emelie, but her father, in cahoots with the judge, forced him out of town, giving him a choice to either leave and join the service or go to jail. [...]

    16. A snow-meltingly HOT, fun, and fabulous read!Tante Lulu is back and with St. Jude's help is looking to do some more matchmaking - Cajun style. Who's the lucky girl and guy? If you're a Sandra Hill fan like I am, you've been waiting for the lightning bolt of love to hit Justin "Cage" LeBlanc for a very long time. Yes, the lothario of the Navy SEAL team may finally be experiencing true love. (Yes, he's the SEAL that's probably had the most notches on his belt - not from kills, but from bed time wr [...]

    17. More of a 2.5.Just shy of the 300 page mark, I almost threw it against the wall.I'm all for a good grovel - when it's needed, and I'm good with grand gestures. What I really DON'T like is when the person doing all the groveling and humiliating grand gestures is the damned VICTIM!!That happens all too often in this series, which is why I was somewhat disappointed to note this as being a crossover. I like the Viking II series mostly (don't care for the WEALS going back in time, but that's another [...]

    18. I have been a fan of Sandra Hill's since her first book - I think it was "Sweeter Savage Love" - but it's been a while. One thing I can always count on with Sandra is a good story, a few laughs, and romance, and she delivers all of the above with this story.Tante Lulu is up to her old tricks again as she manipulates two people who knew each other as teens back together as lovers. Tante Lulu is outrageously funny, but she does get the job done (along with a little help from St. Jude - the patron [...]

    19. Justin left his home and became a SEAL and never looked back. Until he got news that his grandmother was dying of cancer. He left his job and returned home to take care of her until she passed. He just never thought that old feelings from his first love would resurface.Emelie wad broken hearted and finally recovering from a divorce. When her fist love comes back into town she has to do her hardest not to fall for him again. But when old secrets and feelings comr back, she decides to fall again. [...]

    20. Another great story about the Black Bayou and Tante Lulu and her adventures. She is the head of this group of people, maybe not by blood but my love. She knows the Saint Jude and her can do anything and she loves to find mates for her boys. Justin "Cage" LeBlanc has not been back to the Bayou in seventeen years and says there will be snow in the bayou before he returns until he learns that his Grandmother is gravely ill. His return to the bayou was eye awaking to him as he realized that he loved [...]

    21. Snow on the Bayou by Sandra Hill is a rare gem, and my first Tante Lulu adventure. I was surprised to know that this is the ninth book in the series. A big plus in the book’s favor is that it did not leave me guessing about what came before, as sometimes happens in later books in a series.Justin Le Blanc or Cage (for Cajun) is a decorated Navy SEAL living in California. He comes from a small place near New Orleans called Black Bayou. His past is turbulent and after 17 years away, he thinks he [...]

    22. I'm not going to rate this one I've tried to read this several times it's not the story so much as the way it is written Here are a couple of examples in case your curious:"I doan lak ta complain" "Help yerself ta some sweet tea.""Back ta yer grandson." I could probably handle this type of dialogue in small doses but all throughout the book is a bit too much for me. I keep having to re-read sentences to decipher what is being said so, it's interfering with my enjoyment of the story. If you think [...]

    23. I have read the complete Cajun series including this one and I loved each book. Currently patiently waiting until the next book comes out. I love a great book to cozy up with and going on the adventures with each characterwith Tante Lulu being my fav. They are full of romance with hot flirty/sexy men who stand behind their just as spunky flirty/sexy woman and all their humor they provide. You could even get lost in feeling like part of the family or a neighbor from time to time as you read them. [...]

    24. Sandra Hill delivers again, Snow on the Bayou was another fantastic addition to the Tante Lulu Cajun Cowboy series! From the moment I picked up this book I was drawn into the quirky, comforting life of Louisiana and the bayou; I read 205 pages in one night, I couldn't stop. Justin 'Cage' and Em are a thrilling, perfect together couple that will make you take you on a heart warming love story! I recommend this and all of Sandra's other Cajun Cowboys books, to any contemporary romance fan in the m [...]

    25. I found this a wonderful first read by this author. The story is so believable and the characters could be your best friends which really appealed to me. Tanta Lulu is a true breathe of fresh air and she made me laugh so hard I had to put the book down for just a moment. The neighborly nosey people in the small town add so much to this story but I must say the Sexy Navy Seals put the cherry on the top. This is a story I highly recommend that everyone read because in my opinion you will not be di [...]

    26. Plot is compelling but the writing drove me over the edge. The thoughts of the main characters are written in an inconsistantly jarring and choppy manner. Sometimes in italics, sometimes inside the quote, sometimes as an aside. Additionally, there is very bad Cajun accents and repetition of Cajun pronunciations. For example, every time the hero though of Louisiana he had to think it "as they say it in Lou-eee-zee-ana." Despite wanting to know what happened, I gave up in chapter 7.

    27. I have been waiting for another Tante Lulu book and Sandra Hill did not disappoint. Not only did we have a Tante Lulu but we had a MeMaw thrown in for added support. This book has a great Bayou story full of wanting to smack Em's dad, romance, laughter and the Cajun Village people. I love this series and the antics of everything that goes on down in the Bayou. I hope she writes more of this series and brings back some of the new characters we had the pleasure of meeting. LOVED IT!

    28. When trying to write the review for Snow on the Bayou (Tante Lulu Adventure #1) by Sandra Hill, I truly don’t know where to start. Ok, you know how some people talk about a book hangover……well, I guess you can say that I know have a ragin, cajun, bayou hangover, because this book is still on my mind. YES it is that good!Read More

    29. Justin Leblanc is a decorated Navy SEAL. When he was a teenager, his girlfiend's father gave him the choice of going to jail or join the military. Now, Justin returns home to Louisiana because his grandmother is gravely ill. When Justin meets Emilie Gaudet, his former girlfriend, again he realizes that he still loves her. There are a lot of old misunderstandings to clear up before they can move forward.
