    1. Most engrossing. A must read for all who thinks of overcoming adversity. Learn how an almost absolute nobody could rise to conquer half the known world at that time. Correct, Robert Marshall spoke for the Mongols and why not? My school books, influenced by the power of the day, described them in quite a different light. It is refreshing to read from quite a different perspective.

    2. This wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but all the library had on Ghengis Khan. I'd gone in looking for a biography. Instead it's an overview of his dynasty, the political situation and a record of the Mongol expansion. There was a lot on the battles, tactics and the European reaction, but little on the people themselves or the culture. There are good maps and amazing illustrations and I was interested enough to read it right through. I especially liked the author acknowledging the part pla [...]

    3. Ok, another Ghengis book! It's an over view of Mongol history that was a T.V. show that I'm trying to find on DVD. Awesome pictures!
