    1. (Words from the author)Cayenne and Hawthorn were a hard couple. Their desires flowed easily for me, but they were after the same thing going in two different directions which gave them a unique struggle. At first I wanted to leave their story a bit more open. I originally ended the story when she was tied up to the tree. But after a friend consulted with me, the decision to draw it out a bit further couldn't have been more appropriate for the story as a whole. The characters started running amok [...]

    2. Writing Style:Decadent Kane's writing improves with each new installment of The Trouble With Elves series. As with the previous book I've read from her, A Hint of Cayenne peaked my interest and had me hooked from the first paragraph. I enjoyed taking the journey back the wonderfully intriguing and fascinating magical world of the elves. Some familiar names were mentioned early on that made my heart flutter with anticipation. (Reed, how I love you so!)My Opinion:Cayenne and Hawthorn waste no time [...]

    3. This was a really fun read - I'd say this and Ribbon of Darkness are my favorites from the Trouble with Elves series.Cover: Absolutely beautiful and fitting.Editing/Proofing: I received an ARC so, many errors but I'm forgiving them as I likely have an unpolished copy.Characters: Complex, brilliantly designed. Cayenne is a little spitfire elfess but with a couple of major weaknesses. One being her little sister but the other seems to be the man who is currently also her rival? Hawthorn is also re [...]

    4. The Trouble with Elves series just keeps getting better and better!I've kept tabs on Ms. Kane's saucy, smexy Elfin shenanigans and am happy to report that her newest offering, A Hint of Cayenne, not only matches the previous stories, but, in my opinion outshines them. The authoress has tackled a specific section of supernaturalish creatures that not many would consider sensual and spun a web of magical seduction sure to ensnare anyone looking for something with bite. One bounty, two determined h [...]

    5. Decadent Kane has once again told a tale of wonder! This book is the fourth installment of her Trouble with Elves series, and by far my favorite in the collection. Of course, the three prior stories are also five star tales, THIS storyis story is a ten star, in my opinion.Cayenne is the feistiest of the elven females to date, with a heart of gold as she cares for her adorable sister Lily. She is willing to do anything to take care of Lily--even face off against Hawthorne, a determined profession [...]

    6. I read this as part of the Elven Obsession Omnibus Ok, so I really don’t want to get into each book, because to do a full review for each I’d probably spoil some damn good things for you, so with this I will write a summary for an overall. These are quick, sexy, intriguing, very fun books. Each one is a tale of different characters but set in the same world. The world building is quite good for being short stories. The all have a beginning and an end, so no worries, these have the perfect se [...]

    7. Decadent Kane’s fourth offering in the Trouble with Elves series is even more exciting than the first three! I expected her usual steaminess, I did not expect her to exceed her previous works. Cayenne is as spicy as her name suggests, and loyal to her sister even at her own detriment. Hawthorne learns why it is not wise to gamble with the drow. The pair find themselves hunting after the same bounty, a rather nasty fairy. They both need the gold, but only one will get it. What follows is a sequ [...]

    8. Cayenne hunts for a bounty, but finds herself competing against a hot elf, Hawthorn, for the same prize. The sizzling heat between the two of them only adds to the tension. Cayenne is determined to win the cash, but will she be the one to pay the price instead?Another effin' fantastic installment of Decadent Kane's The Trouble With Elves series. It's fun, hot, and wonderfully quirky. Cayenne lives up to her name. She's fiery and passionate in everything she does. The heat between her and Hawthor [...]

    9. Cayenne and her sister Lily are very poor, so when Cayenne has an opportunity to get a great bounty, she knows she will be able to get a house for her and her sister. What she didn't bank on was that someone else would also be after the same bounty, it turns out to be the guy she just hooked up with the night before, Hawthorn. Hawthorn needs the money to pay off his debt with the Drow. Who will win the bounty? If Cayenne wins, what will happen to Hawthorn and his debt? If Hawthorn wins, will Cay [...]

    10. Once again The Trouble With Elves series proves to be a delight. I was completely captured from the first page reading about feisty Cayenne's attitude. She is a spitfire character taking on a risky bounty to help get her and her sister safe. Then you have Hawthorn who is also looking for the same bounty. He meets Cayenne in a bar one night for a passion filled evening not knowing just how close they will soon be.A Hint Of Cayenne swept me up in the first few pages and I couldn't stop reading. Dec [...]

    11. I absolutely adored Cayenne in A Touch of Cayenne. She is fun, feisty and a complete joy to read about and follow her adventures. Her love and protectiveness for her sister were also inspiring and heartwarming. Without giving away the plot, I'll say the entire story line, progression, and ending were natural, complete, and very satisfying as Cayenne and Thorn try to help Lily. I will also never see or hear the word 'honey' and not think of Thorn. Well done, Ms. Kane.

    12. I read this book in December and I am a little late with the review. Ms. Kane takes a couple of fiesty and fun characters and pits them against each other but soon they find an attraction that threatens what they both need to do. I love Thornenough said there. There is sass to this book which I always adore. This is also the fourth in the series and I haven't read any previous title and had no trouble reading this one. If you want a fun sexy romp with some Elves this is the book for you.

    13. The fourth installment in The Trouble With Elves, Cayenne introduces a saucy bounty hunter and her cocky counterpart, Hawthorne. By unhappy coincidence these two need to find the same prize in order to meet very, very different goals. What begins as a seemingly innocent romp turns into a competition on a whole new level. A twist of banter, a few cast about curses, and some creative use of honey and this story makes for a little bit of crazy and a lot of wild fun.

    14. To put it lightly Miss Kane does it again!I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end with this book. At first I admit, I both wanted to BE Cayenne and smack Hawthorne silly when he contemplated saving his own skin as compared to the welfare of another. However I also saw both the maturity and wisdom in both Hawthorne and Lily Cayenne's sister.Cayenne does grow in the book and the ending was both one of the most romantic I have read in a long time and the sweetest!

    15. This was a funny, hot and sexy book about bounty hunters. I love a heroine who can fight her own battles, kickass, and can drink hard. I enjoyed this book.
