    1. I just finised reading Rachael Slate second book on Chinese Zodiac signs, and I love every minute of my readingIn this second book you will encounter Sheng’s elder in Li Tieguai who has been living on Fangzhand Island for a few decades. You will also renew with the Matchmaker who will play a role in Li’s life by bringing him a girl who is not really obedient and a bit of trouble maker by the name of Wen. Wen failed her test to become a member of the Lotus League and has been sent to Li’s I [...]

    2. 4.5 STARS!!! I loved Trancing the Tiger, so not a surprise i would like this too. The beginning was a little hard to follow, but once i did i was hooked! Wen and Li were perfect together. Not to spoil, but there are some cameo appearances :) I do wish however the book was longer, i didn't want it to end.

    3. I absolutely loved this novella! It was the perfect solution to tide me over until Rachael Slate's next book in the series hits the virtual shelves.Rematch is a fantastic story with a creative plot, superb writing, super-hot hero, spunky heroine, and amazing sex! What more could a girl ask for?*Received an ARC from author in exchange for a honest review

    4. REMATCH (A Chinese Zodiac Romance, # 1.5) by Rachael SlateMay 12th, 2015Publisher: --approximate pages: 102 (print)Romance: Paranormal > Shifters, Fantasy, Multicultural / Interracial ** Provided by Author in Exchange for an Honest Review. ** -- MY THOUGHTS --Judging a Book by it's Cover: It's unique. Not initially eye-catching. Synopsis does not automatically grab me either as I tend not to prefer to read Paranormal and I try to avoid the Fantasy genre altogether. As a favor to a friend, I h [...]

    5. Review Courtesy of April HollingworthThis is the second book in the Chinese Zodiac Romance series and it is wonderful. Wen is such a feisty determined character that you can’t help love her. As for Li, well he is just divine. Tormented by a choice made long ago, he believes he’s not worthy of anything. Upon having Wen thrust upon him, he soon learns nothing as it seams inclyuding everything he’s ever believed. A beautiful wonderful story about two misfits and the choices and mistakes they [...]

    6. Note: I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.Rematch is the second installment of the Chinese Zodiac series. The novella itself stands alone, although the heroine and her man from the first book make a delightful cameo toward the end.Just as in the first, the story is intriguing, the chemistry sizzling, and the mythos fascinating. If you've read any of my other reviews, you know that I have high standards for my romance. This book (and the other!) isn't just a romanc [...]

    7. LOVED this book. Such strong believable characters, you fall in love with them right off. This book shows how guilt can rule you life if you let. I will be reading anything Rachael Slate writes.

    8. I gave it five stars it should be more than that . What a wonderful story and author. I finished it in one sitting. Could not put it down.

    9. *Originally published on book blog WillReadforFeels*I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I’ve been a fan of Rachael Slate’s since I got my hands on a copy of Book 1 of her Chinese Zodiac Romance series, Trancing the Tiger. So I went into a slight tizzy when I learned that, while waiting for Book 2, By the Horns, the author would be releasing a novella entitled Rematch. This went [...]

    10. She would never be his because she COULD never be his. “Wen was an enchanting mortal. That was the problem. A mortal.” WOW!! I wasn't sure if I would want to read, nor would I like a story without Sheng, Lucy and the rest of their 'kongsi' in it, but WOW!! Rachael has mesmerized me yet again! I shouldn’t have been so “surprised” or have doubted her since her debut novel was (and still is) FANTASTIC! But you know how it is when you love a book, you are convinced that nothing will compar [...]

    11. Rematch is the novella in the Chinese Zodiac Romance Series. We first meet up with Wen who has failed out of the Matchmaker's Lotus League, and is brought to Li's "misfit of an island." Li, is a ancestor to Sheng, who was introduced in Trancing the Tiger. It's interesting how all the chosen, immortal and 'misfits' all intertwine with one another. While we are getting to know Li and Wen, we find out more of one of the creatures that lives on Li's island. By the end you have a deep understanding o [...]

    12. I was thrilled to have another installment of the Chinese Zodiac Romance series released. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second novel after reading the brilliant debut Trancing the Tiger. I was worried I may be hyping it up too much. Expecting greatness from Rachael after her amazing debut, but I was not disappointed!Wen and Li are both great characters. The storyline is awesome! There is great development and plot right from the get go. I liked the intrigue that Li's character offered. [...]

    13. Another Li to add to my list of Book Boyfriends!!! Super awesome story with great characters. Loved Wen, she is super feisty and naughty, definitely a fun character and one that was perfect for Li, the very serious tormented Immortal. The story is very entertaining and it has some super sexy sex scenes. I loved that we got to see Li Sheng and Lucy even if for just a little bit in the story. The Matchmaker being sneaky as usual was also a great character to have in the story and I loved the endin [...]

    14. I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. As I fell in love with all the Chinese mythology that Rachael Slate put down in book 1, Trancing The Tiger, it came as no surprise to me that I loved that aspect of this book just as much. This time, it's a bit more 'specialised' so instead of reading about the whole of the Chinese horoscope and mythology, you learn about one specific place - Li's place. Li himself is a tortured hero which always goes down a treat with m [...]

    15. wow. I am loving the Chinese Zodiac books. How to put into words my feelings on the book.I loved how the Matchmaker plays a role that no one first thinks of. how she puts 2 people together whom at first don't think they belong together than end up making each other whole.Wen and Li both looking for a place where they belong and find that with each other is that place. they use the monkey kings ways on himself to correct a wrong doing the monkey king made.Lucy and Li making an appearance at the en [...]

    16. Loved Rematch. We get a look at characters from the background. Plus we get to revisit characters or from Trancing the Tiger. I was all for the spirit Cat in this one. These two characters Wen and Li Tieguai are considered outcasts. Li Tieguai believes he deserves any suffering he endures. Now stuck on the island Wen will do anything to redeem herself to join the Lotus League and get the justice she seeks. Li Tieguai wants nothing to do with Wen, but the pull is just too tempting to ignore. Both [...]

    17. This is my second Rachael Slate book, and I loved revisiting the world she created in Trancing The Tiger. It is a much shorter story, so faster paced, but it still has depth and awesome characters. Wen and Li were great leads, the storyline was fun to read, and it was nice to see a cameo from Sheng and Lucy from the first book. I wasn't sure if I would be a permanent convert to this genre, but I think I've changed my mind, and I look forward to the next installment!

    18. I loved it! Ms Slate packs a lot into this novella and has left me wanting more! A great storyline with action, intrigue and steamy romance! Love the Chinese Zodiac and look forward to reading more adventures.A mixture of paranormal, romance and Chinese mythology, a must read in my opinion.

    19. This is the second book on Chinese Zodiac series but is a standalone with its own HEAIn this book we meet Sheng’s elder, Li Tieguai who has been living on Fangzhan Island. He was a handsome man initially but after a small hiccup when his servant cremated his body, he had to reincarnate into the nearest body and ended up an elderly lame man. He roamed the world using his magical gourd to heal those inflicted by great illnesses, like the Black Plague. Then a few decades ago he was tricked by the [...]

    20. 4.5 starsNow I want more! This was a no less interesting follow-up to perhaps my favorite paranormal of the year and I am looking forward to seeing how the pieces that were set into place will play out in the series.Wen has one driving force, she wants to be part of the Lotus league to eradicate Red Death. Having lost her brother to the disease she has more motivation that she knows what do with. This motivation is also what got her kicked from her training and banished to be a maid.Having been t [...]

    21. Wen is forced on Li by the Matchmaker after failing the test to become of the elite assassins of the Lotus League. Li is hiding from the world after losing his magic. This story is wrapped in the legends and mysticism of Chinese culture. There is much more to Wen's presence on Li's island than the Matchmaker leads them to believe.Rachael's writing is so natural and she makes it seem so effortless in the telling of this story weaved with magic and mysticism. You find yourself immersed in this wor [...]

    22. At first I was put off a little by Wen. She seemed a little over the top sexy and sultry, but as her story developed and I learned more about her I warmed up to her. Li was almost an instant mystery that I wanted to figure out. The unfolding of his secrets had me turning pages to find out more. The myths woven in the story line were well done. I love the concept of Chinese culture inside a paranormal romance, and from what I do remember of the Chinese folklore the author has done a wonderful job [...]

    23. Loved this second installment in Rachael Slate's Chinese Zodiac Series! A woman named Wen (who fails to secure one of the hallowed positions in the secret Lotus League of assassins) is deposited into Li Tieguai's household (a super hot-hot-hot immortal) as her punishment with the following order: "You can do with her as you like. She is yours." And "You should keep a close eye on this onee has a tendency toward reckless curiosity."That all happened in the first few paragraphs, so I was totally h [...]

    24. A Review of Rematch by Rachael SlateLonely Immortal vs Avenger - 5 starsThis is a short book between the first and second book that will be coming out soon. I was happy to learn more about the Chinese Zodiak characters and how they are all connected. Li, who was an immortal with the power of healing, has been living as an outcast the last thirty years after being tricked by the Monkey King. The Matchmaker shows up with Wen, who is to be a servant for his home after she failed a test to join the [...]

    25. A lifelong fascination with mythology and Asian culture led me to Rachel Slate's Trancing The Tiger. The excellence of that book led me to Rematch.Having read and loved Trancing The Tiger, I thought myself prepared for this behind the scenes peek into the world of the Immortals. I was wrong. While there are similar elements, even guest appearances from a few of the characters from Trancing The Tiger, the story is still fresh and compelling. The characters, Li and Wen, are believable and you can't [...]

    26. Li and Wen are fun and interesting and oh so stubborn, they make the book worth reading. If you can focus on them you will really enjoy this book. The writing in the book seemed a little choppy at times for me, it was hard for me to keep going, too much bouncing between Wen and Li. Overall the book was fun, and held a few what ifs, and some mystery and of course a hot steamy love scene.I would give his book 3 out of 5 fangsIndependent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock

    27. This is the second book in the Chinese Zodiac series and it was amazing. I read it I none night. I just could not be put it down. The chemistry between the characters just makes the pages sizzle. I love how the characters carry over from the last book. I so can't wait for the next book!!!

    28. The first book in the series was quite interesting, but there was something about Rematch that sucked me in. I love the immortal development and the idea behind the story. I want a big puppy and kitty spirit now!

    29. Immortals are Hot!!!Slate is a new Author to me and didn’t disappoint. Even though this isn’t my typical read, she kept me interested and very intrigued throughout. Li and Wen are well developed characters and he story is well written. I love how Wen’s character develops throughout and how her and Li bond. This is definitely a story you can read without having to read the whole series, but I think it is worth reading the series too. :)

    30. Heal the healerTwo souls, each wanting to make a difference in the war against the Red Death, are thrown together by the Matchmaker. Wen is a mortal girl and Li is one of the Eight Immortals. Their attraction to one another is immediate but Li is to guilt ridden to act upon it. Wen keeps after him, as she's certain their futures are entwined.
