    1. Move over for the new Dynamic Duo in town and please note, they are hotter than blazes, have more attitude and style than the class troublemaker and are determined to earn their place in the Elite Guard at any cost. Yep, sounds like something Scarlett Dawn would write. Welcome to Game Master in a world that is only one Skeleton Key away from Earth. On the run from her father’s killers, Arizona can only hope the skeleton key she found will open the door to safety. What she finds is another realm [...]

    2. Magically transferred to another world, Arizona Creed, finds herself orphaned and running for her life with a talking frog in her back pack.Lucifer is an exiled member of a royal family and apparently the second born of twins to the king of his birth country in this magical world. He recently became ward to two small baby girls and is on his way home with them, for the first time, when Arizona jumps in front of his carriage. With the smarts and skills her assassin father taught her, Arizona build [...]

    3. **FULL REVIEW**"They were good, some of the best actually, but my father had trained me. They had only gotten lucky when they killed him--three assassins versus one. I was an assassin's daughter."Run.That's what Arizona does when her original methods fail her's either that, or be caught. Not going to happen. So, she runs. And funny enough, hides. It's where she hides that truly changes everything. The Skeleton Key.Once through the door opened by a mysterious skeleton key, things don't appear as the [...]

    4. Sweet but super shortIt's a novella. I'm not a fan of novella because of their shortness but I'll put myself through torture just for Ms. Dawn. With that said if you're a fan of her Forevermore, you'll appreciate the relationship between these two characters. I was a little disappointed because the book seemed to jump years, days, and topics with little to no explanation plus no development between the characters. I know it's novella but having just finished Moon Mark, I was expecting a little m [...]

    5. I really liked this! It was not at all what I expected. I think these characters and the premise for the book would have made an excellent full length novel. They could have developed a lot more of the relationship during the first few years and then sent them on at least their first live mission together. I hope the author decides to add more to this series! (I'm not quite sure how the Skeleton Key series works though since it's a ton of different novels/novellas by various authors.)

    6. Will leave you with Happy FluttersA quick fun read. As with all the Skeleton Key stories it can be read as a stand alone story. Enjoy a trip to another universe with talking frogs and magic keys. Funny and heartfelt with a little steam a great way to spend a few hours

    7. Game Master was a quick fun read, full of action, emotion and of course, a bit of romance. Arizona, on the run from men trying to kill her, happens upon a skeleton key that leads into another world where frogs talk, magic is real, and Lucifer isn't necessarily the devil. She's stuck in this world, away from the earth she knows and loves, but when it comes down to it, will she even want to leave? I enjoyed the novella, which is part of a bigger series of novellas The Skeleton Key, but for me, it [...]

    8. Title: Game MasterAuthor:Scarlett DawnGenre:Paranormal Romance/FantasyFormat:EbookPages:87Rating:5Heat:5Thoughts: I loved this story and wish it were longer! One of the best parts was the wings. I would totally be like Arizona, staring and very distracted by them and craving my own lol. The whole concept of the skeleton key opening a door to another realm is fascinating, and I wonder if it's just a normal door but becomes a portal when a skeleton key is used or is it always a portal? Anyway, thi [...]

    9. Nooo why is this a novella?! There could've been so much more character & plot development, as well as more details into just about everything. It was over so fast :( I want this as a full length novel!!

    10. I received an eARC of this book via the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of this review. It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Scarlett Dawn so I HAD to read her installment in the Skeleton Key series, Game Master. I think this may have taken the place of my favorite Dawn read! In Game Master, Arizona Creed has just buried her father when a group of assassins chase her through the streets. She finds herself at a dead end with a loc [...]

    11. I received a copy of this story for an honest review.Game Master is author Scarlett Dawn's contribution to the Skeleton Key book series. Each book in the series is a standalone fantasy read by a different author and each story comes with the promise of a HEA. Game Master is a quick, enjoyable read that fantasy fans will love. There's pulse pounding action and as promised - a fun and satisfying HEA.What I Loved: Arizona Creed is a rock solid heroine and if Scarlett Dawn writes anything else in he [...]

    12. This was so great! The story starts off with some awesome action, and it just continues to surprise and excite me till the very end! I mean I was on board from the first sentence, but when you add in a talking frog in moss pants! I'm all the way there! Arizona's assassin father has recently been killed, and now her father's enemies are after her, and while she is trying to escape, she comes upon a skeleton key that transports her to another realm. Arizona is all alone in a new world, but luckily [...]

    13. I received a copy of this book in response for an honest reviewWhat can I say other than I really like this book I mean come on, its a Scarlett Dawn book, of course its going to be good.My one major complaint is that it was not long enough (but then is it ever long enough?) and I would have loved to follow the characters some more and see them develop, both as individuals and as a couple. There is always a worry when an author develops such a kick-ass heroine that they won't allow the heroine to [...]

    14. *** Gifted in exchange for an honest review***Can this be read as a standalone - YES.Characters:Arizona Creed - 18 and grieving for her dead father, and at the same time running for her life, when she thinks its all over, she suddenly finds a key to a door and then her whole world changed. - as the Blurb said:Literally. With one magical skeleton key, Arizona lands in another realm. On Terlant ( the other realm)Arizona meets Lucifer but she is not in any fit state for romance, and Lucifer is not a [...]

    15. 5 stars for Game Master by Scarlett DawnGenre: Paranormal, Fantasy, Romance, NASeries: The Skeleton KeyAudience: NA, AdultsSynopsis:Arizona are in big trouble. Her father, a hitman, is killed by assassins and now they are after her. While running from trouble she picks up a key and ends up in a different realm, in the country of Terlant. Here her guide turns out to be a toad named Kingsley, who leads her in a direction where she meets a young man named Lucifer. The two young people come together [...]

    16. Reviewed by Whitney@Shooting Stars ReviewsArizona just lost her father, who is an assassin, and now the men who killed him are after her. While running away, she finds a strange key to a door, and thinking it will grant some measure of safety she uses it. She never expected to be taken to another place, something so strange, and different from her normal world. But, that's what happened. And in this place she meets Lucifer, and while these two start off as friends things especially towards more [...]

    17. I really, really enjoyed this book. Arizona has the skills and the background to be able to back those skills up (what I mean by that is she didn't inexplicably gain her skills overnight; she had a lifetime of training). The world she walks into is fun with interesting and unique characters. Kinglsey had me laughing out loud with his frequent protestations and meddling and the General's wry humour was enjoyable too.

    18. What a farce. A lark. A quirky romantic action fairytale romp. The story opens with Arizona on the run, her father assassinated. Just at the last minute, she finds a skeleton key to unlock her trip to a new dimension. Once you get over that plot twist, you pretty much find everything else tongue-in-cheek believable. She meets up with a talking frog and a banished prince, which sounds like something I would like to see. But then things go downhill from there. As an introduction to a series, the s [...]

    19. Fascinating ReadI actually liked the fast paced environment of this book. It kept me interested and I enjoyed the idea of the storyline, I know it was a novella, but it would be nice have had a little more to read.

    20. Oh wow! What to say??First My reaction when i saw how short it was? So far i only need future releases and two or three of Scarlett's books, and i've read every one of her books. I absolutely adore her books, i think they're brilliant, and i was sad to see how short this one was, though it was still good!I love how much personality her characters have, not just Arizona and Lucifer, but overall her way of making characters in general, i love their "sassy'ness", i love their attitudes towards the [...]

    21. Isn't the cover pretty. Reading the book, the cover made perfect sense.Arizona's story past was sad. She just lost her father and she was running from his killers. In which led her to finding a key which opened the door that led her to Terlant. Her first acquaintance when she arrived at Terlant was Kingsley. I liked how she was calm when learned that she wasn't on Earth. It also led her meeting to Lucifer (who's super hot, just fangirling over here), who was a spare to a kingdom but due to some c [...]

    22. Okay, I know I say "fun" a lot, but for real, this book was one of the most fun reads I've had yet this year. It starts off a little sad and a lot exciting, but then quickly moves into, whoa. It's a shortie, so some of the detail I've come to love from SD isn't there, but I still seem to have managed to get everything I need in a story.Smart, witty characters? Check. (Double check for Kingsley btw)Excitement? Check.Kick ass leading lady? Psh, I want Arizona as a body guard.Smoldering Hero? His n [...]

    23. Love, love this book. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a short story. I would love to read more about the characters and what happens to them. It's a great read.

    24. Arizona is badass, a trained assassin, dropped into a rural world of the past. Will her skills help her survive or draw the wrong kind of attention?Arizona finds and key and then finds herself dropped into a strange land with even stranger people (see the talking frog). With her background and skill set she quickly acclimates to her new life and her new friend Lucifer. Arizona and Lucifer are best friends and brawling partners. They have each other's backs in all things. So when the Royal Guard [...]

    25. I received this ARC from the Author in exchange for an honest review. This is a stand-alone short story that I really enjoyed. An assin's dauther, in the aftermath of her father's murder, found a skeleton key and was magically catapulted in another realm. She's not a wilting flower. Here she found her true love (but was able to admit it only after 3 years, poor baby) and a career worthy of her father's teachings. It's absolutely stunning the connection the main characters have, and the majority of [...]

    26. From The Book Junkie Reads . . .Hot fun, hot action, hot interaction, hot reactions. Banter, character, connection, laughs, and future. This was a novella that could suck you into a new world/series. There was more to Arizona. She had skills and a brain. She knew very well how to use both. Lucifer, yeah right Lucifer, had his own reasoning behind him. Them together was damn near unstoppable. This get notice and that was when all the fun began. There was no game like the game they were to enter i [...]

    27. Okay so I loved Scarlett Dawns Forever never more series one of my faves so I decided to give this one a shot while I wait for the next in that series. I didn't hate it, but I saw so much more potential to make this a long story and to fill in all the large time gap jumps. I thought it was good I just was hoping for more from it I think. I don't like Novellas that are stand alone, they are way to short for my liking but I do enjoy them if its added on to an already well developed series and the [...]

    28. Once I had the opportunity to sit down and read this, I read it in one sitting. Not that the book was that short. I just couldn't put it down!Scarlett is a master of her trade. I know I have probably said that a few times. If so, then you know it is the truth! The story starts out right in the middle of the action. No sleepy starts from Scarlett! As the story progresses, I wasn't really sure where it was going, but I was excited. The story takes the supernatural turn when she finds the skeleton ke [...]
