1 thought on “Apocalypse Culture II

    1. -Madre mía, cómo está el personal.-Género. Ensayo.

    2. The book starts out with info from a group of people who are trying to clone Jesus. (what if he came out retarded?) The government mixing human genes with pigs, so that they are bigger and have less cholesterol.Scientists who did AIDS tests in mice and ended up creating a super airborne AIDS virus.A Jap named Issei Sagawa who had the dream to eat the flesh of a white woman and carried out his fantasy when he shot a Dutch girl named Renée Hartevelt in the neck, violated her body and then cut pi [...]

    3. This follow-up to the controversial original makes that one look like MAD magazine in comparison. This second book goes to some of the most unsavory places imaginable. Its mesmerizing and fascinating, for sure, but misfortune, oddities, and human perversions drip from every page. Even for someone like me who seeks out challenging literature, this book gave me pause. One thing is for sure, I'll never look our our culture the same way again. For those with strong stomachs, even you may want to tak [...]

    4. When attempting review this book, I find myself a bit perplexed. On one hand, I find so many of the essays, and so many of the authors and subjects of these works, to be totally aborrhant. I am disgusted by them. But maybe that's the point? For as dark and sick and twisted as this book may be, I will always adamantly stand up for its right to exist. Oh, and Crispin Glover is a personal hero of mine, so that doesn't hurt.

    5. Here's my blurb:"Apocalypse Culture II is an instant classic, blasting through the last frontiers of taboo."

    6. Further exposes on all manner of counter culture. A must have for those interested in the extremes of undergournd culture.

    8. This book is totally exploitative and vulgar, under the guise of just exercising the right to free speech. However, I tend to be drawn to macabre things every now and then (to read about, not to participate in) like serial killers, satanists, evangelical endtimers, and the like, so I did find some of the entries pretty fascinating, particularly the Japanese cannibal.

    10. Just as bizarre as the first one- cannibalism, necrophilia- it as goes in & never comes out of your brain.

    11. Although not as great as the first this book sends it's message loud and clear. Now boarding the Apocalypse Express. Destination?
