    1. WTF. This book seems to have a sweet premise, but let me tell you this book is a wolf in sheep's clothing! It seems like a second chance romance, and while it is, there also is a huge event that takes place to the hero at the beginning of the book that just taints the whole story for me. I'm one of those who likes their Hero to only love the heroine. This is not true in this story. In fact, the hero is a newly widowed father of two kids and moves on pretty quickly. *Contains some spoilers*There [...]

    2. This story was utterly adorable, yet sexy and emotional. It grabbed my inner nerd girl from the start with the Star Wars references, particularly the feisty little Yorkie aptly named Wookie. The tag line fits the story perfectly. The romance between Minnie and Snack was indeed 26 delicious, infuriating years in the making. Snack is delectable, a possessive, protective Alpha male with one hell of a sweet side.Minne is quirky, funny, and I kind of want to hang out with her.If you're looking for a [...]

    3. I love watching the relationship of Minnie and Snack from when they met as children to growing up together. Timing never seemed to be on their side when it came to love and I enjoyed the story as it unfolded. Will they or won't they ever catch a break and end up together? This book evoked all sorts of emotions. You will root for this sexy couple. Loved the Star Wars reference and "Wookie" the dog. This is a great feel good romance and a wonderful winter escape! Bon Appetit!

    4. DNF @15% *ARC received in exchange for an honest review*I signed up to review this one because the blurb sounded cute. But I was sadly disappointed that the premise of the story is not exactly as it’s presented in the description. I know authors sometimes like to be vague, afraid of giving away too much of the story; but there are crucial details about the premise—the premise of the story, which is completely different from a spoiler, that really should be established to understand the roman [...]

    5. I was hooked into this story within the first few pages and it was very hard to put down! The story was told from Minnie’s point of view. She was such a gorgeous character, and she had me in her pocket with Eggroll and Wook from the very start! As a little girl she suffered a loss, but when she connected with Snack, she found someone to belong to. I loved their interactions as children, and the author wrote these scenes from the past beautifully, weaving them into the story as Minnie and Snack [...]

    6. Wow, this book was amazing. This one in a drop everything and read now book. I read a little preview of this and was hooked and couldn't wait for it to come out. I was luck to get an ARC. Before bed I checked my kindle and saw it was there. I was super excited and had to start it right away. I don't suggest starting this one at night because I was totally hooked and stayed up to 2am reading it. I loved Minnie and Snack. We get some past and present in this story and it helps us to understand Min [...]

    7. *ARC PROVIDED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW*Sweet. That was the only adjective going through my mind while reading this book. Too much cuteness in a book. It felt like a short story for me, but it held a lot within its pages. Over the top cute children, sick mother, a cheating father, awesome childhood memories, kids with innocent love and no care in the world, loving families, protective/asshole brothers, a coward teenager, bad timing, conflicted emotions , stubborn characters, troubled thoughts, fun re [...]

    8. I'm not sure if this is a short book, a fast read, or if I just needed to know what happened next so much that I devoured Snack. Snack is told completely from Minnie's POV, and she is a quirky, cute, foul-mouthed little dream. Minnie has been in love with Snack for-freaking-ever and they just couldn't quite get their crap together to make it work. Snack loves her too, that's what drives you forward, making it difficult to put the book down: what the heck happened? I loved their goofy relationshi [...]

    9. I found this book to be the perfect mix of witty and poignant. The personal tragedy endured by Snack is treated with sensitivity and delicacy, yet this story happens at a time when he and Minnie are at last ready to find happiness. Minnie is kind of bold and crass, and she's very real and relatable. Snack is, of course, delicious. He's got a way of being alpha and super sexual without losing the subtle sweetness of his personality.I believe anyone would enjoy this light, romantic read, but parti [...]

    10. ARC received for an honest reviewDo you remember you first love? Were they your one? Do you know where they are now? These were some of the things I thought about as I read Snack. Snack had the nerd girl in my hooked right from the start with Star Wars/Harry Potter references. Then my heart was captured as we heart Minnie and Snack's story, switching between present day and flashbacks to them growing up together.I adored Minnie from the time we meet the 6 year old girl to the sweet, loving but a l [...]

    11. I received an arc for an honest review. This story starts with a new young friendship. Snacks parents own the shop that Minnie, her brothers and dad went to when they first arrived. I'm sure some of us can relate to the friend who once you meet them it seems as though you go through school inseparable. The only time is if you get in trouble. Then you may have fights or something may change how you fell for a time, but then once you are together again it's like no time has passed. During this swe [...]

    12. I adored this sweet and compelling second chance story. My heart ached for Marcus Snackenburg. My heart pounded as I anxiously waited for the happy ending I wanted for he and Minnie. If you're looking for a funny, sweet romance that will suck you and not let you go, this is it.

    13. I really enjoyed this second chance romance. Based on the title I expected to be a cutesy quick read that was light and fun. I got something so much more. I loved the missed opportunities, bad timing and the second or third or fourth chances that this couple went through. It was a quick read, but it was full of heart and made me want a Snack.

    14. I loved reading this book about childhood best friends who grew apart. You will need some tissues to get through this book but you may also snort a time or two. Snack and Minnie are brought to each other in a time of need. I will just leave it at that so I do not spoil the book for anyone. Everyone is going to fall in love with Snacks.

    15. I loved watching Snack and Minnie's relationship develop over time in this story. It was emotional, fun, and sexy. My inner nerd girl LOVED all the Star Wars references. And SnackMmmmmmmmm Snack!!! This was another great read from Emme Burton!

    16. A Snack never tasted so bad*CONTAINS UBER MINOR PLOT SPOILERS*I hate giving bad reviews :( If it's any consolation I'd give this book 2.9-Wish it were better stars. *SHRUG* Sadly this isn't your typical second chance romance, the book started out terrifically, I thought "This will at least be a 3 star-er!" No. About half way through things just felt OFF Like in a " This book is basically the main characters scrapbook of her cheating SEXCAPADES in her hometown" kinda way. The guy in question, Sna [...]

    17. A tumultuous friends to lovers read. Every time Minnie thinks she's going to get her chance at love with Snack something gets in their way. Will this time be different? Snack has always called Minnie his girl. He keeps her at arms length but holds a special place for her in his heart. Is this the time he will pull her close and not let her get away?

    18. wow. amazing. loved this book. to see their relationship change as they grow up. to experience their victories and their losses. it's well written and the characters are amazing.

    19. ~~4.5 SNACK-elicious Stars~~This was such a cute story. Snack met Minnie when they were 7 years old and Snack claimed her then as "his girl". They were inseparable. I love a great childhood friend to lover story. This was a really sweet fluffy story.

    20. Reason why I'd hate this book. I really dislike misleading blurbs. /review/showAnd another one with extra info:/review/show

    21. Marcus “Snack” Snackenberg and Minnie Cooper had been dancing around each other for years. 26 years, to be exact. Best friends since childhood, they’d been in on-again/off-again romantic relationships—a virtual rollercoaster of those intense young love emotions—until eight years ago when it became “off-again” for good. Then, after eight years of avoidance, Minnie is called back to her hometown to help Snack through a tough time. It’s the first time she’s seen him in years and on [...]

    22. As far as I was concerned, Snack was my best friend and the best thing to happen to me. So Minnie and Marcus "Snack" have been friends since forever. They played together , got in trouble together, mainly did everything together. Minnie was "HIS GIRL" yup its the same as callingDibsbut at a younger age! They have been an on/off couple for so long that it hurt. It wasnt like they had anything to do with it, it was just always bad timing I guess. Time just wasnt their allyThe course of true love ne [...]

    23. i liked the concept of getting a chance to get back together with your unrequited love(So 1 star) but the plot of this book is just to unbelievableSnack is a widower with two kids and is supposed to be grieving the loss of his wife but he is lusting after his BFF. He loved his wife and she asked him to move on. and he does in a month.Seriously, and that make this acceptable ?!?! Had so many issues with this guy, not a worthy character.(view spoiler)[1.When they were young, he was a playboy thoug [...]

    24. 3.5 I actually really enjoyed this one. It is a bit of a weird setup, but I just went with it.

    25. The potential was there, but I felt it a bit too unrealistic that Snack would want to immediately start something with Minnie so soon after what brought him back to Downer's Grove.

    26. I always say things happen for reason and this book right here proves two of my throes. My second is if you truly love someone let them go, if they come back they are yours to keep forever. Which is meant to be. I wish snack would of got his act together a lot sooner.

    27. In fiction and movies, I like the unfolding, the figuring out, the discovery. I tolerate beginnings because, well, every story needs exposition and backstory. I’m less a fan of the end. Because is it really ever the end? I waver between craving the resolution and wanting to know what’s next—because even at the end there is always something next.By contrast, in my everyday life, I yearn for the answer, the resolution. I can’t stand things left undone. Oh, I can procrastinate with the best [...]

    28. 3.5 StarsI both loved and hated this book! The story was beautifully written, but the characters were at times hard to get on board with. This is a second chance romance unlike any other. The premise of this story is something that may turn off some readers, and others will absolutely adore. I was in between with my feelings on how these two were reunited.Twenty-six years ago Snack entered Minnie’s life and was her best friend, and the love of her life. Throughout this book we get both past and [...]
