    2. This is an amazing collection of 36 short but poignant essays on various topics. Each one is just a couple pages or so, but they are so well-written that each is moving and thought-provoking in its own way.     3. I really enjoyed the writing style, and it was really easy to quickly get lost in each "story." I really wouldn't consider these short stories though. They're more like concepts for stories that have yet to be finished. There were quite a few that I wish were finished because I would love to know what happens next, especially Exceptional. The idea of all these young women marching off into the sea and her being pulled under, but being home was fascinating. I could see that idea being a whole nov [...]
