    1. It's times like this that I wish I was a writer myself, so that I could more adequately describe how much I enjoyed this book and why any horror lover should be dropping everything to read this as soon as it becomes available. I mean seriously do yourself a favor and clean up your "to be read list" The title story "Come As You Are" really grabbed me. Who doesn't hate a bully? Ivan is having a rough time at school, and when he finds a notebook belonging to a former student who was also bullied be [...]

    2. This book sounded great: 10 horror short stories by a new author. Why not?The first story, "Come As You Are" - was amazing. Enthralling, great characters, supernatural elements on top -I loved it!-, but, unfortunately, it was as far as good as this collection wentI found the other stories really disappointing. It was clear for me that the author had great ideas for them, but he just couldn't make them work. The other 9 stories were too short or really poorly developed to have the same impact as [...]

    3. Genre - Horror Short StoriesPages - 188“Come As You Are & Other Short Stories” by Steven Ramirez is a novella and 9 short stories of some of the creepiest gore I’ve read. From demons in a school locker to a lunatic sleepwalking Mother, this book will cover just about all your horror yearning needs. Each story is intense and on the edge of your seat reading. I had a few favorites the title story among them and I was also quite impressed with “A Bone In The Throat” and “Rigino Sing [...]

    4. I didn't realise this was a book of short stories until I began to read it. The first story was good, has a supernatural feeling to it and the rest of the stories all had elements of spookiness, gore and horror that gripped me, but that last story Walker, that was epic. I'd love for that to have been a full novel.

    5. This is a good little collection of short stories (not normally my preferred reading choice) with "Come as you Are" being the standout and my favourite. It's quite gory for a Young Adult novel. Demons living in a school locker is definitely a new one! I actually think this could be pulled apart and re-done as a longer length novel with more emphasis on how the demons came into being, the janitors struggles, how to cope with teenage death there's so much scope for something bigger. The other stori [...]

    6. Come As You Are is a novelette of the same name and a collection of short stories that run the gamut from chilling to bizarre. The title story was my personal favourite featuring a bullied teen who comes across what he thinks is a journal from a dead teenager who went to his school. What he discovers in that journal allows him to seek revenge but we all know that nothing comes for free . as our protagonist soon finds out. A creepy paranormal tale that I read in one huge gulp and was so impresse [...]

    7. Come As You Are is an interesting collection of horror short stories by author Steven Ramirez. It fits neatly into the young adult sub-genre. There are a few very interesting tales in the mix, but they’re balanced out by a handful of weaker ones so that the whole collection as a whole feels somewhat mediocre. I would be interested in reading more of the author’s work, just perhaps in longer novels instead of a collection.Come As You Are, the title novella of this collection, was an interesti [...]

    8. Do you remember what it was like at school when you were in seventh grade? If you weren't in the popular group, I suspect that you may have. What if you and your best friend were bullied would you do? Go to your parents for help? I don't think so. Ivan finds a way to get revenge or at least thinks he has? How did he do it? Will he change? It's an excellent novella. This book is a collection of stories including one novella and nine stories. They are all exquisite horror stories. They all move qu [...]

    9. Come as you are is a book which contains 10 short stories. The first and longest story is titled "Come as you are." Of all the stories, this was my favorite. I wished it was more than a short story. I would have loved for this to be longer. This story could have progressed with others acquiring Craig's list. As for the other stories, most of them ended so abruptly I was left looking for more. Not in the same way as the first story. For some of these, I felt like there was really no ending. Perha [...]

    10. I was provided a free digital copy of this book by netgalley in exchange for an honest reviewI loved this collection of 9 short stories and novella! I especially enjoyed "Come As You Are" the novella at the beginning of this collection. I was drawn in immediately and devoured Ivan's story. I would love if this novella could be further expanded into a novel. This collection has something for every type of horror fan!

    11. Book of short stories. My favorites were "A Bone in the Throat"' "Walker" and "Come as you Are". The other stories were ok but to me, these were the standouts. Good selection of short stories. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book in return for my honest review.

    12. FabulousEach story is better than the nexttually drawing in LOL.My favoritesCome As You Are,you can find friends/backup in the oddest places, Something to Hold On To n't underestimate a person's survival skilld Walkert all fairy tales and folklore are bologna 😀 . Sit back and enjoy this one you will be glad you did 😜

    13. "Come As You Are" Is a very good collection of short stories ranging from a story about a high school locker with a demon to a con man that has cheated over 21 people out of their money who gets his just deserts in the end.I really liked "Brown the Recluse",very interesting.

    14. Great talesEach story was well written and engrossing. Some were heart breaking, as well as horrifying. This is a book that is a keeper. I'm already looking forward to reading it again.

    15. I found this book super entertaining, the stories were addictive and some made chills run down my spine, others made me laugh 😂 but it is a very pleasant book to read!

    16. Come as you are by Steven Ramirez is a collection of horror stories. Short stories good enough to spread waves of goosebumps round you. I think Steven did a good job with the stories. I found some of the stories scary and some impractical (I know that's the whole point of fiction) but some of them didn't cut it for me.To me some stories could have been extended a bit for the sake of clarity. I know bits and chunks of stories come together to make a collection but… few of the stories appeared t [...]

    17. This book had some good story lines but I felt a little cheated when each short story finished and felt they deserved more time. It was a little like getting on a train, settling down for a long trip only to find out it doesnt go any further than the next stop.Normally I am a fan of horror stories though since reading this book have realised short doesnt appeal to me. I feel this is why I struggled to finish the book and that is no fault of the author. Readers who enjoy horror short stories shou [...]
