    1. Girlflight is a thoughtful, fun, and beautifully written book that will speak both to kids (tweens and teens) and adults. It is an unconventional coming of age story that captures a kind of self-searching that everyone - regardless of age - can relate to. Celeste (narrator and main character) is often conflicted but always passionate, and she quickly draws you in. There will be plenty for parents and kids to talk about after reading this wonderful book - from relationships, to discovering streng [...]

    2. The second novella to Freak Camp was a joy to read. We continue where we left off with Celeste's source party celebration! Yeah!! The gang navigates through another year in "Freakidiky". Love is in the air, literally! A new set of characters join our lovely cast, new relationships are forged with new obstacles to surmount. Celeste learns to be sympathetic with her step mother, even more so with their matching source. Her ambitions and school goals change with puts her at a standstill with her [...]

    3. Girlflight is another great book in the Freak Camp series! It was wonderful to be back with Celeste and the other characters as they discover more about themselves and navigate life as teens. I hadn't realized how much I missed them until I was back in the story finding out where life would take them next and in Celeste's case that was airborne. Read this book or even better start with Volume 1, Freak Camp!

Ms. Barnett takes us back to where she left us with Celeste and her friends to reveal how they fared after the end of Freak Camp. The characters continue to grow as they learn about their "powers" and figure out how navigate new relationships. As a mother of teen daughters I can attest that the characters are portrayed real [...]
