    1. I think that one of the hardest things for a writer to do is tell a story that straddles a long time period and to make the different moments in that story all seem connected and equally resonant - but Brian Russell pulls it off. In this story of re-connecting with a long-absent father, he speaks as both man and boy and both voices sound authentic. What really comes across is the sense that although there is a "happy ending" in terms of reunion and reconciliation, it is not without ambivalence a [...]

    2. This slim chapbook is a heartwarming look at a son who feels abandoned by his birth father. The raw emotion of this young man as he tries to find answers in his father's actions oozes off the pages. With divorce rates almost 50% in our country, there are many boys who are faced with this same situation - Brian Russell gives a voice to these boys.

    3. Great read! For me it was more about what goes on in the life of someone you know, and you had no idea at all. I agree this is a great book for kids who may be struggling with family issues to show how others cope with pain and hope during that journey. Can't for the Brian Russell novel! Bring it on!

    4. I am the editor and publisher of this book. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates a timeless and poignant story.
